CEO: Wintershall DEA to launch Urengoiskoye field in March 2021

MOSCOW, Nov 23 (PRIME) -- Wintershall DEA expects to start development of fields 4A and 5A of the Achimov formations of the Urengoiskoye deposit in Russia at the end of March 2021, CEO Mario Mehren said on Monday.

"We expect to start (the production) at fields 4A and 5A of the Achimov formations of the Urengoiskoye deposit at the end of first quarter of next year," Mehren said.

Achim Development, a joint venture between Wintershall DEA and Gazprom, works on the 4A and 5A Achimov blocks of the Urengoiskoye gas condensate field.

Reserves of the blocks only within the license area of Gazprom Dobycha Urengoi exceed 1 trillion cubic meters of gas and 400 million tonnes of condensate under the C1 category.
